DUMBBELL THRUSTER: SQUAT MUST BE 90° OR LOWER. FULL EXTENSION AT THE TOP (NO HALF REPS) (LEGS AT LEAST PARALLEL TO HIP).

AMERICAN SWING: FULL ARM EXTENSION AT THE TOP.

BURPEE BROAD JUMPS: FEET PARALLEL AT JUMPS. CHEST MUST TOUCH THE GROUND (NO PUSHUPS).  NO FORWARD LEAPS ARE ALLOWED. HANDS MAY NOT BE PLACED MORE THAN 30 CM AWAY FROM THE FEET WHEN GOING DOWN.

SITUPS: HEAD MUST TOUCH THE GROUND. FULL EXTENSION AT THE TOP (NO HALF REPS).

TYRE-FLIPS: SQUAT MUST BE 90° OR LOWER (LEGS AT LEAST PARALLEL TO HIP). THE TYRE MUST BE FLIPPED FORWARD AND LAND DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE ATHLETE. DRAGGING OR PULLING THE TYRE ACROSS THE GRASS IS NOT ALLOWED.

DEVILS PRESS: CHEST MUST TOUCH THE GROUND (NO PUSHUP). FULL ARM EXTENSION AT THE TOP (NO HALF REPS).

KETTLEBELL WALKING LUNGES: KNEE MUST TOUCH THE GROUND. FULL HIP EXTENSION AT THE TOP.

WALL-BALLS: SQUAT MUST BE 90° OR LOWER (LEGS AT LEAST PARALLEL TO HIP).

THE PAIRS RACE INVOLVES RUNNING THE EVENT IN TEAMS OF TWO. BOTH ATHLETES RUN EVERY 400M JOURNEY TOGETHER AND ARE INVOLVED IN COMPLETING EACH LABOUR. HOWEVER, THEY CAN SPLIT EACH LABOUR DOWN BETWEEN THEM IN ANY WAY THEY SEE FIT. ATHLETES CAN BE SAME-SEX OR MIXED. MIXED TEAMS USE THE MALE WEIGHTS (AND FEMALE-ONLY TEAMS USE THE FEMALE WEIGHTS). BOTH TEAMMATES MUST BE PRESENT AT A STATION BEFORE STARTING THE EXERCISE. NO STATION MAY BE STARTED WITHOUT YOUR PARTNER. ATHLETES CAN BE ANY AGE COMBINATION (ABOVE 16).

THE RELAY RACE INVOLVES RUNNING THE EVENT IN TEAMS OF FOUR. EACH ATHLETE RUNS 1 X JOURNEY AND 1 X LABOUR BEFORE THE NEXT TEAM MEMBER GOES. THEREFORE, EACH ATHLETE COMPLETES 2 X JOURNEYS AND 2 X LABOURS TO COMPLETE THE RACE. ATHLETES CAN CHOOSE WHICH LABOURS THEY COMPLETE, BUT THEY MUST COMPLETE THE RACE IN THE CORRECT ORDER. ATHLETES CAN BE SAME-SEX OR MIXED (2X MALE + 2X FEMALE). THEY USE THE RELEVANT WEIGHTS FOR THEIR SEX. THEY CAN BE ANY AGE COMBINATION (ABOVE 16).

DUMBBELL GOBLET SQUAT: IF SQUAT IS NOT 90° OR LOWER – NO REP.

DUMBBELL HANG CLEAN & PRESS: FULL ARM EXTENSION AT THE TOP – NO REP (DO CLEAN & PRESS OVER).

BURPEE BROAD JUMPS: IF FEET IS NOT PARALLEL AT JUMPS OR CHEST DON’T TOUCH THE GROUND – 1 MIN PENALTY FOR EVERY WRONG BURPEE BROAD JUMP.

SITUPS: IF HEAD DON’T TOUCH GROUND OR FULL EXTENSION AT THE TOP – NO REP (DO SITUP OVER).

TYRE-FLIPS: IF SQUAT AT TYRE IS NOT 90° – 1 MIN PENALTY FOR EVERY TYRE FLIP THAT IS NOT PERFORMED CORRECTLY.

DEVILS PRESS: IF CHEST DON’T TOUCH GROUND, IF DOING A PUSHUP OR NO FULL ARM EXTENSION AT THE TOP – NO REP (DO DEVILS PRESS OVER).

KETTLEBELL WALKING LUNGES: IF KNEE DON’T TOUCH THE GROUND AND NO FULL EXTENSION AT THE TOP – 1 MIN PENALTY FOR EVERY WRONG LUNGE.

WALL-BALLS: IF SQUAT IS NOT 90° OR LOWER – NO REP (DO WALL-BALL OVER).

WAVE 1: SINGLES: THE EVENT WILL START WITH THE SINGLES CATEGORY. 3 ATHLETES WILL START TOGETHER, AND EVERY 15 MINUTES A NEW GROUP WILL BEGIN.

WAVE 2: DOUBLES: EACH WAVE WILL CONSIST OF 3 TEAMS STARTING TOGETHER, WITH 15-MINUTE INTERVALS BETWEEN STARTS.

WAVE 3: RELAY TEAMS: RELAY TEAMS WILL START IN GROUPS OF 3 (3 PEOPLE PER GROUP) WITH A NEW WAVE EVERY 15 MINUTES.

FINAL WAVE: BEGINNER FUN CATEGORY: DESIGNED FOR NEWCOMERS AND THOSE WHO WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN A RELAXED AND ENJOYABLE WAY. THIS CATEGORY FOCUSES ON MOVEMENT AND PARTICIPATION RATHER THAN COMPETITION (THERE WILL BE NO PRIZES JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT).

  • EVERY PARTICIPANT OR TEAM WILL HAVE A PERSONAL JUDGE.

  • JUDGES WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR TIMING, REP STANDARDS, AND OVERALL WORKOUT CONTROL.

  • PENALTIES WILL BE GIVEN IF NECESSARY TO ENSURE FAIR AND CONSISTENT JUDGING FOR ALL COMPETITORS.
